I applied online. I interviewed at Unity (Helsinki, Finlandia Meridional) in Mar 2022
Interview
One of the most pathetic hiring process I have ever faced in Finland. Their reviewer did not even go through my test submission and gave negative decision. They did not provide reasonable rejection reasons too.
The interview process as a whole felt professional and personal. I really got the feeling that they wanted to hear from me and equally educate me about the company. It was a nice balance of them learning about me and me learning about the company.
There were a total of 4 interviews. The first one consisted of a screening to get a first impression and to confirm some qualifications. The next two were conversations about the position. They weren't technical but I was asked about my motivations in seeking the role. The last felt more like a typical interview. They asked me about what I knew about the field but not in a way that felt like I was being quizzed. Overall the interviews felt open ended and gave me the chance to share my passions.

Question 1
What is your personal outlook on patents?
Do you understand what the role is?
Why do you want this role specifically?
What makes unity stand out to you?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Unity (Singapur) in Feb 2022
Interview
This interview process helped me realized why Unity as a product is in the state it's in.
Contacted by recruiter who told me I'm a great match for this role (they always do).
Scheduled an interview 2 days later stating "the team wants to get all interviews done this week", "technical skills aren't important for this role as training will be provided", and "it's just an initial interview no preparation needed".
BUT during the interview I was told that my lack of "recent professional experience" in using Unity was an issue (because obviously they couldn't confirm that before the interview right?)
Radio silence for 2 weeks even though the recruiter said they would get back to me.
Contacted recruiter directly but received no replies and no callbacks.
It's been months now.
