I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2019
Interview
Had an initial conversation with the recruiter and then moved on to onsite interview with the hiring manager. After this, had a half day of panel interviews with core stakeholders of the position. Lastly, had another onsite interview with the hiring manager, CEO and another key business partner for the position. Everyone I met with was prepared, engaged, asked good questions and also provided insight into their understanding of the role, what was needed and how they would interact with the position. Everyone was energized and extremely excited about the vision and future for the company. That is what got me most excited. My impression was that everyone was also honest about some of the foundational components of the business that need improvement and that there is a lot of work yet to do.

Technical questions were typical of most game studio interviews I've had for generalist positions - broad discussion of rendering, linear algebra, networking, performance etc., going into depth where possible.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Montreal, QC) in Oct 2019
Interview
Interview process was extensive. It lasted for 4-5 weeks. The recruiting team did good job at keeping me posted of the results and next steps. They were quick at sharing feedback.
Recruiters are very collaborative and look for win-win solutions. The hiring process is spread over different rounds (HR, exploratory call, technical round, managerial rounds), each round with set objectives - this helps to understand perspective & expectations holistically.
