The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (New York, NY)
Interview
Super smooth from start to finish. Recruiting team was reactive, accomodating, and treated me like I was already part of the team from the very first call. A very refreshing change from larger tech groups where it's abundantly clear that you're simply a cog in the machine.
Accepting the offer was an easy decision as a result, since it instilled a lot of confidence in the people-management side of the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly fit, vision and strategy questions with some case studies sprinkled in.
Recruiter reached out to me about the role and was very arrogant and rude when I began asking questions about the company. I asked if the company has been affected by covid and he laughed and said "clearly we're hiring which means we're not negatively affected". I also asked for him to address the negative reviews and he said "I don't know anything about that, I'm just a recruiter". Terrible, terrible call. Would never work there just based on this recruiter
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Unity (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2020
Interview
Well set up interview process given that everything was remote. Questions were thoughtful and real to reflect the company culture. Multiple rounds to ensure the opportunity to meet with different functions.
