I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Helsinki, Finlandia Meridional) in Jun 2021
Interview
Applied through LinkedIn for the position with Unity Technologies, Helsinki, Finland in April 2021. I had ditto experience as one other candidate described about their experience down below.
First HR round with a nice guy who quizzed about my experience, second round with team manager/team lead who asked technical experience and how I solved certain situations, challenges (at previous work). It wasn't particularly challenging for my experience level.
Then came the take home test which consisted of total 9 questions (7 open questions and 2 coding tasks). Questions in various languages though the position was for a Go developer, but I was confident that I did it well as I knew most lot of it well except one with C language question. Unfortunately their decision was to reject, having spend a good amount of time polishing take home to test I was a bit disappointed, I wonder how are they assessing that test?? I am pretty sure the questions where a bit out dated and has got multiple suitable
answers (they asks you to mentioned max four and in one sentence !!) which need bit more explanation than in one line.
As a senior developer I would give their test a 0 score, I have been interviewed by many good organizations where they have a completely different approach to doing take home test. At the least they should using one of the online quiz platforms rather than this outdated, irrelevant questionnaire.
