Phone screen with recruiter, casual phone interview with hiring manager, and then 4 separate interviews with 8 different team members (2 in each interview).
The 4 separate interviews is a bit intimidating; that's a lot of time to fire out answers. Never interviewed somewhere that required so much time talking with so many people. The day after my interviews wrapped up, I received an email from the recruiter enthusiastically saying she had an update for me and wanted to call the next day. I gave her my availability and I never received a call. Almost a week went by and I still hadn't heard anything. I assumed it was a no, but because she wanted to schedule a call and didn't, I thought maybe she was out sick or something. I emailed again, and got no response for several days. Finally, she got back to me and said she'd like to call and asked for my availability. I got a call later that afternoon where she proceeded to tell me I was rejected and they'd gone with another candidate with more direct experience. I'm not upset I wasn't selected, it was just very bizarre to be told I was was receiving an update only to be ghosted for days, and then they scheduled a call to notify me I wouldn't be chosen. Also, I did see the job reposted the day before she notified me that they'd selected someone else, so I'm not sure the feedback I received was honest. Very bizarre to me.
