      Graphic Designer Interview

      Apr 1, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Baltimore, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Under Armour (Baltimore, MD) in Dec 2013

      Interview

First, I had to do the HireVue virtual interview where I video recorded my answers to pretty basic interview questions. That part of the process was actually kind of cool. Then, about a month later, I was contacted by the recruiter for an in-person interview. I received my itinerary for the day which included interviews for 8 hours with 12 different people. They bought me lunch, which I didn't get to eat since I was interrogated the entire time. I was grateful I didn't have to use the bathroom at any point in the day because 1. I was never told where it was if I needed it and 2. I never had a break between interviews. Despite the extreme difficulty of the interview, I thought it went pretty well. The strangest part was how each interviewer basically told me how to impress the next interviewer. Kind of an odd experience overall. Don't expect the process to move quickly. Also, I never received anything telling me I didn’t get the job, and the hiring manager ignored my emails. So, overall, not a pleasant experience.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Under Armour (Randallstown, MD) in Jan 2017

      Interview

A quick virtual interview with 7 questions. 1 minute of prep before each question. It's super weird but if you answer these questions before hand and practice in the mirror for a bit it's not that bad.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Under Armour (Baltimore, MD) in Nov 2016

      Interview

A recruiter I was working with helped set up the interview with Under Armour. I went to the Global Headquarters and had a semi causal interview with my manager. I brought my ipad in order to show her my online portfolio.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Under Armour (Baltimore, MD) in Apr 2016

      Interview

Very thorough. it began with a rep from HR reaching out top me on LinkedIn, asking if I'd be interested. the next step was a phone interview with that HR rep which was then followed by being given a test project yo showcase my ability to design for apparel. The next step was a skype interview with a senior level designer. The most important questions revolved around how well can I handle critiques of my work, and how willing I am to receive creative direction. After that step, followed an in person interview with a majority of the people I'd be working with.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you handle it if another designer asked you make a change to one of your designs? Would you make the change, or reply with why you think the change shouldn't be made?
