Fairly straightforward at first, with an adjustment to their standard 3 interview process. I applied and heard back within a couple weeks from a recruiter and scheduled an interview for that week. The first interview was organic, professional, friendly, and encouraging. I felt very confident and had excellent rapport with the recruiter and he was bright and engaging. The second interview was scheduled very quickly and the recruiter was enthusiastic about the next steps. However, they detoured from the standard 3 interview process, and the next interview was the 2nd and 3rd combined, as they were all heading to a conference off-site. Unfortunately that interview was a bit awkward, as it was two interviews (skills/culture) I was being vetted for at the same time with two people asking different questions with different goals in mind. The content and questions felt a bit crammed into the time frame and the interviewers were talking about hurrying back to complete performance reviews before they left for the conference. The managers I interviewed with were very professional, but seemed a little distracted. I wish I'd been able to delay and have the 3rd interview individually, so I could answer the questions thoughtfully in a linear fashion. The recruiter seemed very interested in my experience and skill set in the first interview, while the interviewers in the 2nd/3rd combined were nice but again, distracted and rushed. Wish I could have worked through the process in the manner they are accustomed to, as I felt it was a detriment to how I was received. I do wonder if the other candidate they went with had the benefit of the three individual interviews that I didn't.
