I applied online. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Leonardtown, MD) in Apr 2018
Interview
Interview was simple, I believe they hire anyone as there was no difficulty with the questions. The interviews were done by some management for the stations. After the interview you will have to take a test and you must pass that test in order to be hired.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Belvidere, SD) in Nov 2016
Interview
Only the people with the top 3 test scores are interviewed, and they are only interviewed the first time they apply and not any of the additional times that they apply for the same position. Questions are straight off a form and very impersonal. Interviewer was not interested in comments that did not fit the pre-printed interview questions. Interviewer would not answer questions about what things I could do to increase my chances of being hired.

Question 1
Are you willing to make the post office your priority in life over everything else in your life?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Sacramento, CA) in Dec 2016
Interview
So I applied for this position in august. Gave up applying and then in December I received 2 phone calls about going in for an interview. At first she said she pulled up my application from a different location because She needs to hire right away. during the interview she told me they are hiring immediately but due to the hiring process it would take at least a couple of weeks to start. She told me about the job description, and pay, and hours available, other future career opportunities. I think it went really well. She said I should wait to hear back from HR. Other people say they did the background check first and finnerprinting. I didn't do any of that yet which I find kind of odd but I'm hopeful that I got the job.
