After applying online, I attended a group interview where we filled out our hiring paperwork. During that time, they informed us that the position requires 60 rs/week, 12 hour shifts with no overtime paid. Also, only swing and night shifts available. It would have been so much more professional to give us this information first.
I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Cleveland, OH) in Dec 2016
Interview
Quick and easy, very pleasant interviewers. Group setting during holiday season. Asked very simple questions and I felt very comfortable the entire time. Dress was business to business-casual. Took a civil service test, drug test, and background check prior to the interview because it was a government job.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Harrisburg, PA) in Oct 2016
Interview
You basically gather in a large room with a bunch of other people and get corralled down the chute like a bunch of cattle. Feels like processing in to your first day of prison. Literally, there are turnstiles at the entrance and someone with an RFID card needs to let you OUT of the facility because they're afraid their employees will escape.
There wasn't a whole lot to the interview and they didn't ask many questions. Just looked over your application and as long as you didn't act like THEY were there to serve YOU because the world owes you something you were fine. Don't ask them to work around your schedule in the interview because it definitely ain't happening. You're going to get kicked out of the room in front of everybody and told to have a nice life after getting into a scuffle with the hiring manager!
