I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Greensboro, NC)
Interview
Pretty simple. The PM actually called twice & spoke to me about the job and days. I was even able to verify that I could stay working at my current job since RCA is only Sat & Mon & some Sundays which I liked because I didn't wanna go into the job and be blind sided to work 6 days a week.
The only down fall is the waiting time to be signed up for orientation but I'm finishing my last day tomorrow
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The PM basically just asked if the 2/3 days was okay with me.
It's a long process. It took 2 months to get orientation scheduled after processing all the paperwork and background checks and drug test. You also have to wait for civil servant test results to be processed and finger prints.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Litchfield, IL) in Feb 2017
Interview
I applied January 16th, did the online portion on the test the same day, went to the testing facility on the 19th of January, results of my test were uploaded within a half hour. Finally received an interview email and interviewed on February 7th. Very easy interview. 2 ladies, my postmaster at my local post office where I applied and another postmaster. I received an email to do my drug test and background check on the 21st along with a conditional job offer. Knowing that both are going to come back clean, I am now waiting for them to receive the results, I took my drug test yesterday, the 22nd, and send me an email letting me know when orientation starts. It's definitely as waiting game, and for me, the "process step" was where it was suppose to be the whole time, it went something as follows: Processing application, pre hire list, hiring list, offer phase... =) I know it isn't easy waiting, and unfortunately, that's really all you can do.
