US Postal Service interview questions

The hiring process was long & tedious. I needed to travel a long distance to take an entrance qualifying exam. Then when accepted, needed to take an additional training outside of my assigned position.

Hiring Process was the following. Applied for Location after you complete the application it will have you select a testing date and location. You are required to take the 473 Exam a passing score is 70% but you want to score as high as possible .You are graded on a 100% scale. Remember ,military vets get additional 5-10points added to their score. I scored a 79.30 on my test, I was contacted by email to come in for an interview. At the interview there was at least 40-50 applicants. Each one of us was interviewed 1on 1 by a locate postmaster of that division. Interview questions for simple, they basically wanted to know if you are willing and able to work in all weather conditions. Additional questions were asked but not that hard. Just tell the true!! If the Postmaster found you a good fit for the company , you were taking to the next step which was filling out various paperwork. If he/she did not find you a fit you were told that you will be contacted and sent on your way. Paperwork consisted of W-2, background forms, etc. After the paperwork was completed they took your fingerprints. All applicants were told to monitor your email daily, 3-4 days later I received an email to take my background check. Once filled out and completed you were told to submit it. 3-5 days later I received another email this time to take a drug test. Drug test results took 48 hours . I received a Conditional Offer Letter though e-mail sometime shortly. Overall the process was December-Early February . Hope this Helps, Good Luck
