I applied online. I interviewed at US Postal Service
Interview
I applied online and in about a month I got several calls for an interview. I had four interviews in all in four different towns but have not heard anything in a few weeks. I applied for a job in several other towns near my home and hope to get interviews there also. This whole process is taking a long time but from reading the other reviews I see that is normal. I was told to expect an email about the drug test but haven't gotten it yet.

Question 1
If you have several different interviews like I did it is difficult to answer the same questions over and over again.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Dover, NJ) in Jun 2013
Interview
The interview process is very simple. You come in with a number of other candidates and fill out paperwork as a group after being given an explanation of the positions being offered. Next you are fingerprinted and then you are interviewed. My interviewer was an amazingly nice and helpful man named Marty who had been with USPS for more than 30 years. They will ask a number of simple and common sense questions for you to answer and then give their recommendation on your file. After that its a waiting game, but a very simple process nonetheless.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Rockford, IL) in May 2013
Interview
Involved process, long application online. Study for the #473 exam BEFORE you fill out your online app, because once you finish your app, you will get just a few days to take the test. Test is not something you can just take cold, get a book and get a system for remembering stuff, series of tests, the last test is the killer. Then, keep applying for other local locations in your area. Once you pass the test, you will get calls, a few weeks, then it is only 1 or 2 days a week at best. might be completely on call for 6 days. no guaranteed day. no benes. between 14-18$ an hour. It is hard work, and be prepared to use your own car. Must be able to sit in the middle and drive, no stick shifts or bulky consoles. The interviews are easy, but you are not the only one applying for the job so make an impression. then the drug test and background check. And then you wait. all communication for me was done online via email. Test score is instant email. If score is under 70 take it over. I am waiting for results of BG check.
