I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Arlington, TX) in Aug 2015
Interview
Easy interview easy typical questions. More so just letting you know what to expect about the job. Put emphasis on not guarantee hours. No benefits. Being organized and quick is very important. Group then personal Just to clarify application and work history. I think as long as you have a clear background you got the job. Remember it is a government job so you have to be clean! No criminal history.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Griffin, GA) in Sep 2015
Interview
I applied for the position July 3, 2015. I took the assessment July 9th. I scored an 84.4 I applied for the same position in a different city on August 28th & I went for my drug test on September 14th. September 18th I was invited for 3 interviews , being that they were all in the same district , I was told to only go to one. My interview went great ! The Postmaster loved the answers I gave her . She & another PM were "fighting" over me. Lol. I was just told to wait for GIS to send me an email about being fingerprinted. My status went from pre-hire list to Hire list , when I checked it today , the status was "not selected" but I'm still on the pre-hire list for 4 other locations. Someone please tell me what this means for me. I'm desperate for this job ! I've contacted GIS as well as the postmaster & they aren't really giving me the answers I want.

It takes about 4 months to get an interview. Once you get an interview, you'll be scheduled for a group interview at a local office. They will basically try to talk you out of taking the job and test you to see if your serious. If you make it through that you get a 1 on 1 interview with a local post master. then you will here back in a few weeks.
