I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2014
Interview
You will take some time filling out paper work and making corrections on application along with other potential employers. It was at least 25 people in a class room setting. They have you watch a video and after someone will tell you what the job requires and other information they feel is necessary .They also have you fill out paper work to get finger printed. And you then choose what post office you desire to work for, this was because they were filling a wide area in the district I applied for. After we lined up and waited for Post Masters from different post offices to call you for an interview, they call you according to your score from the exam you should have completed.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Glen Ellyn, IL) in Feb 2015
Interview
I applied online, got a test request email then a background check email and the drug test email. Once they were all done I was invited to an interview.
The interview ended up being for many towns at once. The town I was originally trying for was full already so I interviewed with another. It was interesting the way it worked. They explain how tough the job is, no sugar coating, which was nice.
