I applied in-person. I interviewed at UPS (Milwaukee, WI)
Interview
The hiring process was thorough. Mine was a move from Part-time to Full-time, but the strangest part is they never told me what the position would pay until after I accepted the offer. And it was only marginally more than what I was making part-time; but you can't question things at UPS.

Question 1
Multiple questions to multiple people in the company.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at UPS in Jun 2013
Interview
Applicants vying for manual labor jobs like driver helper or package handler should dress business-casual for an interview with UPS. Due to the nature of the job, candidates who wear overly formal attire to the job interview may not necessarily improve chances of hire. Show enthusiasm and interest in UPS operations during the tour of the building, and ask questions if given the opportunity. During group meetings, hiring personnel typically take a few minutes to outline job duties and company expectations before asking candidates a few questions one-on-one. Common inquiries used during the UPS interview process include:
"Are you aware of the physical demands of this job?"
"Can you lift 70 pounds?"
"Did you play any sports in high school or college?"
Recruitment staff usually makes hiring decisions at the end of the meeting. Drug testing and criminal background checks remain common formalities during the entry-level hiring process.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at UPS (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2011
Interview
Phone interview, rather unprofessional, connection issues for online linkup, disconnected twice. The entire process seemed hokey. I nearly declined the offer as I wasn't sure it was legitimate. I should have trusted my instincts, as management in general has been kind of a joke. I've worked in two positions in two separate regions, and consistently, managers are not experienced in anything but UPS. It is a rather myopic view of the business world and of sales.
