I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at UNHCR in Sep 2020
Interview
Submit application, shortlisting (took around 3 months), then invite to a 90 minute written skills test. This was followed a month later by a 30-minute panel interview (online) with competency-based questions, as well as a 'why do you want this job' opening question. There was time to ask a question at the end.

Question 1
Why do you want to work for UNHCR, and specifically, in this job? Competency questions about managing external stakeholders, planning and organising, teamwork, addressing challenges and failures, trends and outlook in the area of humanitarian action and forced displacement.
Took a skills-based test asking me about statistical skills and concepts. It took about two hours. No one was monitoring me, so it didn't feel stressful, but I was pushed for time.
