I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2022
Interview
Not structured. Interviewers did not know which questions they wanted to ask us. Lacked coordination and transparency about time and location. When hired, was not given proper time ahead for training period, remote/hybrid options, hourly pay. Leadership was unorganized and uncommunicative.

Question 1
Why do you want to apply to this program and what experience do you have?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2024
Interview
Typical and standard interview, no surprises and all questions were either relevant or "interview-standard" type questions like "why do you want to work here" and "tell us about your background"
With competency-based questions it is very easy to go off topic or meander around providing too much detail about the situation when the interviewer really wants to know how you acted. You may find it helpful to use the STAR technique to structure your response:
Situation: give the interviewer a context by describing the situation.
Task: what did you need to do?
Action: tell the interviewer what your specific actions were.
Result: the end result – make sure it shows you in a good light, even if the overall project was not a success.
