I entered and was questioned about my skills and previous CS experience in college. I was then given an interview question to answer, and I talked my way through what I was thinking for the problem. I wasn't able to correctly answer the question, but they thought my process was good enough to give me an offer.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2015

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2014
Interview
Very easy. The process took 2 days. You will first get interviewed by the senior lab consultants who will be your coworkers. To be honest, not much experience is necessary as long as you show enthusiasm and willing to learn. These interviewers will be the people you work with so they would want to work with someone who they like and want to work with so speak to them in friendly terms. No need to be too formal. The second interview is with the head of the computer lab. interview was pretty easy as well. The head just ask wether you are positive you want the job and give an overview of what you do on the job.
