I applied online. I interviewed at Transport for London
Interview
Applied via Careers website and it took just over two weeks to be notified by HR of successfully passing through the initial screening stage. Another week then passed before the interview date was confirmed but I was pleased with the more than adequate information provided on the specific competencies sought. Guards at reception were rather robotic/sleepy-eyed. Interview itself was conducted by section head and senior colleague-to-be and went rather well. It was a positive experience on the whole.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Transport for London (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jan 2025
Interview
Teams call with an overview of the project requirements. A series of questions to probe experience and general understanding. Background information requested and reasons for choosing to seek the role.

Interview
The interview starts with the usual questions: give a summary of your profile, explain why you applied to the company and for the particular role. Then it is a competency based interview with four questions each based on a specific competency. For each you have about 8-10 minutes to give an example of something you have done in the past, answering the specific question and demonstrating the required competency. Two "technical" questions followed asking you to explain how you would deal with a given situation and to detail your thought process. At the end, again the usual: salary expectations, etc.

Question 1
The competencies were: leadership, stakeholder management, performance drive. The HR sent guidance notes in advance to prepare for the interview and explain what the competencies mean exactly.
