I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Transport for London (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jan 2014
Interview
The whole process was very professional, they got back to me quite early after I submitted the online application. Their website gives a thorough description of both the application process and of what to expect on the assessment day.
Most of the activities on the assessment day were run by HR, but for the presentation and interview there were also scheme sponsors present. I got an impression of TfL as a friendly and laid back company, and would recommend applying.

Question 1
There were two technical questions, one on structural behaviour and another on ground behaviour. No calculations necessary, just talk about what you would do in a certain situation.
The process was straightforward and professional. It began with an initial online application, followed by a competency-based video interview. Afterward, I was invited to a final assessment center which included a group technical exercise and a one-on-one interview with a senior engineer focused on my project experience and technical knowledge.

Interview
The assessment centre was held online. The process consisted of three parts. A group exercise, a personal interview, and a personal exercise. In my case, the personal exercise was a presentation based on an ongoing project.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Transport for London (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jan 2024
Interview
Application, Online test and then Assessment Day. It was a good experience. Practice is the key. Practice on the presentation and make sure you answer what is it being asked. You will have to add your own creativity.
