I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TransPerfect (Turín) in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied for the position of freelance subtitler. I had to take an unpaid test which I had to prepare and study for in advance. I passed the test and had to sing tons of paperwork.
The project was going to start a couple of weeks later and I was sent an additional cumpolsory training to complete: it took over 4 hours to complete the whole training.
All of this was unpaid.
When, over three weeks later, I asked about the project, my contact person at Transperfect (who had had me go through the whole process) replied he was just "responsible for the onboarding" and that "his job stops there".
I was left without further information and never heard from any PM at Trasperfect again.
I will definitely not work with them in the future.

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TransPerfect (Atenas, , Ática) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview was quick and short, mostly focusing on my knowledge of CAT and QA tools and my daily capacity/commitment. Also, they were interested about my fields of specialization, mostly they wanted to know if I have any experience working on highly technical projects.

Which is your average daily capacity (number of words and availability for hourly tasks)?
Very long process, endless. After all I got the job, but there’s no job to do… and new propositions of projects keep coming, but there’s never anything after that. Well…
