The interview process was fairly easily but an utter waste of time with Toyota Financial Services. I was contacted a few days prior to the closing of the requisition. The recruiter advised she was trying to contact me for several times prior. The odd thing is I never received any calls or emails. Nevertheless, I agreed to proceed with the interview process. Come to find out after the phone interview and later 4 hour interview, it was all smoke and mirrors. I honestly believe I was only selected for an equal opportunity quota dog and pony show. They had no intention of seriously considering me. The final interviews were a disguise to their nepotism because they truly intended to hire a former colleague. I only found this out after the fact because of a inside connection and to learn the individual didn't even last 6 months.
First of all, I have never seen such attempts to consider outside candidates when the sole purpose was to hire someone who had an inside track. Most companies would review and decline candidates in the first round which is totally understandable. Lesson learned Toyota Financial Services doesn't seem to be an equitable place to work.
