thought works visited our college on aug 5th 2011..its selection process is very difficult..
first round:
logical questions-flow chart questions..
u will be given few boxes with or without numbers in them and u will also be given a flow chart describing what to do..all u hav to do is follow the flow chart and manipulate the values in the boxes and find the result...
there were 11 ques .have to be solved in 1 hr time..a sample paper is available in net..same paper was given in our college..pls practice the sample paper very well before going to written test..in the question paper 2 sample questions will be given.if u have not practiced the sample paper,u can trace these sample questions.answers will be given to these sample questions.if u r able to understand the logic in the sample questions,u will be able to solve other questions easily...
more than 2000 people attended written exam..but only 266 cleared first round...remember highest number of people will be eliminated in this round only..
second round:
a small coding written test:
only 4 ques in c and c++..it was easy..
third round:
coding in lab:
u will be given one problem statement and asked to write a program for it in any programming language of your choice..time is 1 hr..
they are not seeing the output..they are seeing your approach and how your program can adapt to changes...
suppose u are given an inventory problem.u will be asked to write a program for particular no of things..when u finish the program,interviewer comes to u and asks to modify the program for a different number of items..
so write the program in such a way that it is easily modified...
only 16 people cleared this round...
interview:
there were 2 rounds..both technical interviews...i do not know about the interview coz i could nt make up to it....
they have selected only 3 people for final interview..and only one person got placed...
selection is quite difficult... :(
