I applied online. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters
Interview
I applied online and was given a phone interview, which was easy. They primarily talked about the company and its internship program for half of the phone interview. The technical part is basically a bunch of definitions and an easy logic question.
The on site interview was very relaxed. They asked about my experience and previous projects. There was also a technical question which you weren't expected to completely finish.
The interviewers were nice and made me feel comfortable. The whole process took about 1 month.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Brookfield, WI) in Mar 2015
Interview
Met at a University Career Fair. On site interview was with a dozen other interviewees. The people were very polite and welcoming, and seemed to have a positive view of their work culture. Met with four groups of people. No formal "technical" part; just verbally quizzed me on my technical skills.
I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Eagan, MN) in Mar 2011
Interview
Applied through On-Campus Career Fair. Was asked about 10 basic Data Structure questions on the spot (Define specific types, and give BigO for operations).
Was accepted to interview on site in Eagan, MN. Had roughly 4 interviews through out the day. Since this was over 3 years ago, I vaguely only remember 2 of them having coding questions. 1 required to find the fault in a program, other was a specific question again about data structures and choosing the right one for the job.
