I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (New York, NY) in Jan 2014
Interview
you go in and talk to the manager. she will ask that several other managers come in and talk to you. then they will have a second interview. once through with that, you may have to do some sample cold calls. then you get hired. easy as that
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Hoboken, NJ)
Interview
Had a 15 minute phone interview, went well. Got offered in person interview right away. Went in for a 1 hour interview and met with 4 people within the Sales department. First person to interview me asked questions relating to teamwork, facing adversity, etc....other 3 ppl had me ask them questions so knowing about the company, products and market direction were key to know. I made flash cards beforehand and studied but apparently wasn't good enough. The one woman who interviewed me was very terse so it made it hard to have a conversation. I was told I would hear back by a certain date in order to give my current employer 2 weeks notice - I've heard nothing after leaving a vm and email. Good interview practice but a shame it didn't work out well. Their loss.

Question 1
Give us a time when you had to work in a team setting?
Started off with a phone interview, with an HR rep that was very pleasant, but not located in the New York area. Got set up for an interview with a sales manager and was pretty much told that I was already behind the ball when I first got there for the interview. All in all, it wasn't a very professional interview and a waste of time. It was also a waste of a day off from work, which was the most agitating part of the process.

Question 1
Sales manager asked me whether I had sales or legal experience and when I told him both, he seemed dumbfounded, even though it was clearly written out on my resume. Leads me to believe he blew it off.
