I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Vitamin Shoppe (Augusta, GA) in Oct 2013
Interview
Was hired as a Health Enthusiast due to my being a long time customer and healthcare worker who is into alternative medicine and Manager of store asked me to work part time due to my base knowledge of Health. Interview went smooth, pretty frendly but clueless distric manager and store manager.

Question 1
No question was difficult as I use suppliments and read modern articles daily. However, they seemed reluctant to mention pay. When they told me I would make $7.95/hour...
I needed Valerian root extract STAT. I could not believe such an insulting offer even though I was truly not there for the money. However, $7.95/hour is extremely parsimonious
by any standard.

Interview
Interviewed first with a random associate, then passed to the assistant manager, then to the manager. Really wasn't that difficult and seemed more of a formality.

Question 1
There really wasn't a most difficult question, just that they didn't prepare me for the fact that I would be speaking to several people in one interview who would ask me the same questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Vitamin Shoppe (Greenbrae, CA) in Jan 2013
Interview
Was initially interviewed by Store Manager, then about 5 days later was interviewed via the phone by the Distract Manager. The interviews process was straight forward and thorough. I happened to get along quite well with both of them, so it was a pleasant experience.
