I applied online. I interviewed at The Kraft Group (Foxboro, MA)
Interview
The interview process started with a 45 minute HireVue video interview (one-way), followed by 15 minutes of interactive math questions and matching games. I think HireVue is helpful in certain situations and roles, especially for high volume positions, but for a Director level, high-touch position this immediately gave red flags. Followed by this interview was an interview with an HR Director, who only at this point (again, an almost hour long interview which required quite a bit of prep), explained that the job had been open for months and that it was required to be on-site in Foxboro five days a week until 6-7pm. For a company that boasts its commitment to diversity and inclusion, that schedule seems to alienate quite a few populations (caregivers, parents, anyone who wants a life). As it was explained to me, when the Krafts are there they expect everyone to be visible", which is an extremely old-school boys club mentality.
The interview questions were standard, no behavioral questions and more around experience leading and managing a team as well as being hands on in recruiting. The HR director did explain that the role has been hard to fill as they have been picky in finding someone that is willing to work within their schedule and also manage employees that are willing to as well. Needless to say, the job seemingly remains open with a new title. Good luck!
