I attended an open day in Manchester that I saw advertised on the careers website. There was probably about 100 or so candidates there’s , the recruiter spoke to us for about 10 minutes before we all had to go up one by one and hand in a CV and photo, we literally had 2-3 minutes to chat to her and the rest of the day was spent waiting. There was no company info or attempt to sell the company to us , and we were waiting for literally hours. If we were successful we would receive an email and be invited the following day to the assessment. I already got a job with BA and I much much prefer the company based on the recruitment process alone. I decided not to return to emirates , BA was much more organised. They have us specific times for the assessment day , told us about the company and we saw the head office and terminal we would be working from .... so I did not want to blindly go to Dubai based on nothing at all really. I liked being able to see it all with my own eyes. Not a great experience , I was shortlisted but turned down the opportunity.
