I interviewed at The Emirates Group (Cardiff, Gales) in Jul 2016
Interview
I had an invitation for an assessment day in London but I could't attend so I decided to go to an open day that was taking place here in Cardiff on the 30th of July. I arrived at about 8:15 and the open day started at 9:00. There were about 80 of us in there. There was only one recruiter, she displayed some videos and we got to talk about Dubai, its culture and how the accommodation, roster and salary conditions are. Unfortunately, I failed the CV drop off, and I know why, I tried too hard to impress her and got so nervous that I broke the eye contact while I could tell she was still looking at me, And I was so prepared. Guys my advise is, just be yourself in a polite manner and carry some quiet confidence if you know what I mean, on CV drop off all you have to say is "Hello, good morning. How are you?" and you can even shake their hand if they're not prepared already to receive the CV. If they extend their hand to receive the CV make sure you deliver it to them instead of putting it on the table, If they are looking at you DO NOT BREAK EYE CONTACT. This is your first impression! It will only show lack of confidence if you do.
