They only accept online applications. I applied before the holiday season as Seasonal help and was called by the Sales Manager for a brief phone screening. I then was asked to come in the next week for a group interview. But first I was given "homework": to think of an area of my home that needed organization and find a Container Store product that would solve the problem. There were about 10-15 applicants at the group interview and, after an introduction by the Sales Manager and an assistant, we each were asked to tell about ourself and to describe the organizational solution we had come up with. Later we were separated into teams for a couple of group exercises such as finding products that exemplified "good," "better," and "best." We also were asked to role-play situations with customers. The group interview lasted 60-90 minutes. The next step was a one-on-one interview with the Store Manager. They then did a background check and I was asked to go to a clinic for a drug test.
