I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Container Store
Interview
I submitted my application online with no resume attached. I did have prior experience with the company and I know a couple of people who are pretty high in the company. First I was asked to come to a group interview. Before the interview, I was supposed to look around my apartment and find an area that presented an "organizational challenge." Then, I had to find a product on the website to help with this problem. At the beginning of the interview, we had to introduce ourselves. Then, 2 managers in the store introduced themselves, and we watched video segments about the company history and culture. After each segment, we were asked to explain what we thought "stood out" in each segment. It seems that reading about the company's basic principles and work outside of the store may help, too. Be VERY upbeat. The company is very peppy, and it may seem fake at first if you're not used to it. But it's real. And that's one reason why I would like to work there.

Interview
I went to a group interview with 5 other people. The managers were extremely nice. Most of it was them talking to us about the store. It lasted about an hour. We went around the circle a couple different times with just a few questions. They mainly just want to know more about you. Read up on the website because they do ask for feedback within the group and knowing things about the company looks really good. No hard questions at all. I was nervous at first about the group interview, but it went a lot better than planned.
