I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Thales (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2017
Interview
Interview was very simple. Went through resume and talked about past projects/experience. Very friendly. Talked about what would be done on the job and asked if comfortable with learning AutoCAD/Solidworks. Very simple questions (i.e. "what is a constructor?", "what is function/operator overloading?"). Position involves C++ and object oriented programming.

Had a video interview with two hiring managers looking to fill different positions, about 30 min long. Received a call back later that day with an offer for one of the positions. Overall a pretty casual interview experience.

I applied through college or university. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Thales (Irvine, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
Applied online. Took a while before the phone interview, maybe 4 weeks. Phone call interview for soft skills led to an in person interview that went over my resume. Interview lasted approximately 1 hour. Very relaxing and straightforward. They are a growing company in the US so things can take a little longer.
