Tesla interview questions

I'm in the interview process for Tesla and I've already passed the initial screening, and a hour long interview, next step is a 90 minute, open-book test covering all sorts of engineering fundamentals. It could cover statics, dynamics, vibrations, stress/strain, materials, basic circuits, PID control, fluid dynamics, therodynamics.

I had a very positive experience during this interview. The conversation felt natural and engaging, and the interviewer created a comfortable environment where I was able to clearly share my background and skills. The questions were thoughtful and relevant, allowing me to highlight my experience while also learning more about the role and the company’s goals. I especially appreciated the interviewer’s openness and the way they explained the expectations of the position—it gave me a clear understanding of how my strengths could contribute to the team. The discussion left me excited about the opportunity and confident that this role would be a strong fit. Overall, I felt the interview went smoothly, and I came away with a very favorable impression of both the position and the company.
