Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to use data to influence a decision made by senior leadership. What was your approach and what was the result?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tesla in May 2025
Interview
I had a 30-minute behavioral interview with a recruiter who, despite my clearly stated age and experience in my resume, waited until the end to inform me that the role’s salary was below the Netherlands’ government requirement for visa sponsorship for candidates over 30.
This is a basic and publicly known legal constraint, and one that should have been discussed at the beginning, not after a time-consuming screening.
It came off as either gross oversight or a soft rejection disguised as bureaucracy. Either way, the process felt extremely unprofessional and disorganized, and my time wasn’t respected at all. If this is the communication standard during recruitment, it raised questions to me about the company’s internal alignment and respect for candidates.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tesla (Buffalo, NY) in Jan 2024
Interview
first round is HR call. Then a 30 min intevriew with hiring manager (screening). Final round consists of presentation to the core team followed by 1-1 with the panel. Interview was easy with basic questions and a couple case-study questions.
