There was a 15 minute phone interview, before myself and 9 other candidates were flown to Sault Ste. Marie for an in person interview. There were problems with flights, getting food reimbursed, the hotel, and my shuttle. During the interview we were put in groups of 3-4 and were given about 20 legos and told we had 15 minutes to make a sustainable condo, after which we had to present it.
We were then supposed to network for the remaining hour and half of the interview. Then they though that was a long time and decided to do a mill tour. People tried to refuse on the basis we were not wearing appropriate foot wear or clothing. One interviewee was told to remove his glasses in order to wear safety glasses. We were taken into restricted areas without clearance, and one interviewee fell down a flight of stairs due to slick conditions and bad shoes. No waivers were signed, and overall lack of safety made me feel uncomfortable about accepting a job there.
At the end we were told there were zero to one jobs available, and maybe 4-5 people would be brought back for a follow up interview, if they decided to proceed. One week later I haven't heard back either way, assuming I am not coming in for a follow up. Overall it was unorganized and unprofessional.
