Overall, my interview experience with TCS was positive. The process was smooth and well-organized. There were two rounds – one technical and one HR. In the technical round, they asked about SQL queries, basic networking concepts, troubleshooting scenarios, and some situation-based questions. The interviewer was polite and gave hints wherever I got stuck. The HR round was friendly and focused on my communication skills, work experience, and relocation flexibility.

1. Online Test (TCS National Qualifier Test / TCS NQT / TCS iON) Most freshers start with this. The online test usually has three sections: Quantitative Aptitude & Logical Reasoning Questions on arithmetic, algebra, probability, percentages, time & work, speed & distance. Logical reasoning includes puzzles, seating arrangements, coding-decoding, series, and patterns. Verbal Ability / English Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms/antonyms, reading comprehension. Programming / Coding (for IT roles) Basic programming questions (C, C++, Java, Python) Simple coding problems, e.g., array manipulation, string handling, recursion. Duration: Usually 1.5 – 2 hours. Passing score: Varies by role and year; clearing this moves you to the next round.
