      Cashier Interview

      Apr 29, 2011
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Phoenix, AZ
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Target (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2011

      Interview

I applied for the position online and received a call a few days later to come in for an interview. I came in and went to guest services as instructed. When I told one of the team members that I was there for an interview, she told me to go to the computer to take a short questionnaire on what I would do in different situations. When I went back to guest services, one of the team members told me that she would be conducting the interview. She had a blank look on her face and didn't seem to be very happy to be at work. I went back and had an interview with her. She just read from a page word for word and took notes on her paper. After she completed her questions she told me that I was going to interview with a salaried executive team member. The next interviewer walked in an immediately said that he normally does not do interviews since he works the night shift. The interview with him was a bit more relaxed, but with the same type of situational questions. The whole process was very blah and none of the team members seemed like they wanted to be at work. I received an email a few days later I received an email saying that they could not offer me a position at this time, mind you I have three years of high volume retail experience and was well qualified for this position.
