The initial interview was an online recorded response to stock questions. After this process they offered a phone interview through email. After responding I was not given any heads up of when they would call, had to call the store multiple times to finally get an answer to ask if they received the message of my availability for the phone interview.
I applied on indeed, for a sales associate position. Once the interviewer called without a response from the email randomly, the phone interview began. I asked about pay which I have researched, and the median pay being $18 an hour in my area.
Well I wasn't being interviewed for the position that I applied for, instead I was being offered to fulfillment position. It was explained to me that I would be given a mobile device where I would be timed and have a countdown clock indicating when I was required to get a customer orders ready; also, I was told that I would have a 90-day probationary period.
So, after being offered the position, and being asked if there were any questions, obviously I asked about pay. I was told the starting pay was $15 an hour, I asked for a little bit more because I have over 12 years customer service experience, and I was told that the pay was non negotiable.
So the average pay for a regular associate, which is the position I applied for is $18 an hour, and a more complicated task only warrants $15 an hour regardless of experience. You have a probationary period for 90 days where they can fire you for any reason and you are timed for every order.
You can make more money working at Taco Bell in the Drive-Thru and with half the responsibilities. I would not recommend this location. I'm not sure of all targets are like this, but this is definitely not worth it.
