I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Target in Jul 2016
Interview
Had a connection with ETL at a Target in a different region. She sent my resume and cover letter to the recruiter where I am. Had a somewhat pop-up interview over the phone with the recruiter a few days later. She was very nice and said she thought I would be a great fit for the company. She then set up two more interviews for me the following week - one with HR and one with the District Team Leader. HR was a phone interview, District Team Leader was a Facetime interview. They all went very well and each person I spoke with talked highly of how I would be a good fit for the position and the company. Somehow was still turned down, but overall the experience was pretty good. Stressful, a lot of preparation because of the behavioral based questions, but good.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Target (Sacramento, CA) in Dec 2015
Interview
I went through 2 months of interviews, both on the phone with a recruiter and face to face with the store manager and district manager. Final interview was a phone interview with two executives. My last (5th) interview was with two executives on the phone. The secretary to the District Manager emailed me the wrong time for the interview. Luckily (?) I called to confirm the time. When I got on the phone for the interview it was very difficult to hear what the questions were since she was interviewing me while driving. I should of excused myself and hung up then. How RUDE! I wasn't important enough to even pull over for! After the interviews, the recruiter called me back and told me they really like me and that I would be a good fit. Only then did they tell me that they did not currently have any job openings for the position I had been interviewing for. What!??! 2 months of exhaustive interviews! Traveling 2 hours for an interview! No job opening???? They asked if they could call me when a job opened up and told me I would not have to go through the interview process again. Wouldn't take it now. Actually stopped shopping at Target.
