The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Target in Mar 2010
Interview
I applied to several Target jobs back in January. A few days afterwards I was emailed a link to take an aptitude/intelligence test. It was 90 or so questions long. At first it was just asking basic questions on what I was like personally (did I have a lot of energy and prefer high paced jobs or was I more laid back, etc.) then it had quite a few analytical questions. Quite frankly my preparations for the LSAT helped a lot with the word problems and then there were just basic math questions. You aren't allowed to use a calculator so brush up on some of your basics. The last third of the test gave you a basic situation and then asked what you would do and gave you several choices to choose from. Not too bad overall, though it did take a lot of time. After that it was a waiting game. I had almost given up on ever finding a way to contact them to follow up when I received a call from a campus recruiter today. I was unable to speak with the person directly, but called back and left a message and so will hopefully set up a time for a phone interview soon. This sight has been invaluable in providing insight as to the types of questions I should expect and prepare for. Thank you! Hopefully an offer presents itself in the near future!

Question 1
If you had to help resolve a disput between two employees who did not like working together, how would you do it?

Interview
Initially had a phone interview with a recruiter after I applied for a position via the web-site. This interview lasted about a half an hour. This was followed by a IQ/Intelligence Test. After several weeks I was scheduled for a 1:1 interview with a Store Manager. (The delay was due mostly to my scheduling conflicts with my current job). This interview lasted exactly 16 minutes and was rather uncomfortable, but consisted only of behavioral based questions. A few days after the interview with the Store Manager, I was contacted by the recruiter again to set up an interview with the DM and Human Resources representative. This interview was a little longer (30-35 minutes or so) and was many of the same questions from before. This interview was more comfortable and I felt at ease. I was able to be more conversational. I was also given a packet, and told that if I was made an offer for employment, I would be required to immediately submit to a drug test. Finally, a few days later, I received a turn-down letter via email.
The turn-down was a bummer because most of the people I dealt with were really great and I was excited for an opportunity to work with them, however, I was pleased with the process and not turned off at all by the company or the overall experience.

Interview
I found the job through my university and placed an email to the address provided and also posted my resume and applied to the job on targets career website. I received a phone call 2 days later and had a brief phone interview. Questions included "Why do you want to work with Target?" "Why did you choose the Major in college that you did?" "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" and a few other general questions. I have another phone interview planned for tomorrow.
