Interview
It took a really long time because I interviewed for a position that is not near my place of residence. I had a few in person interviews at stores near my home, and then a series of phone interviews. The whole process took about 4 months.

Interview
I first came in contact with Target at my university's career day. The first interview was an in-person interview, which consisted of 4 separate interviewers taking turns asking several behavioral questions based on previous leadership experiences. Each person had 2-3 questions I had little retail experience but have been in many leadership roles which benefited me during the interview process. The atmosphere and settings were very relaxed and straight foward. The interviewers consisted of District and Store team leaders. My second interview was a phone conference call with a district team leader and store team leader. The questions were in the same format: the situation, the action taken by the subject, then the results. Honesty is the best policy because they did have some follow up questions on specifics. After that interview i did an online assessment test. Mainly a scale of how would you act towards certain situations. Then my final interview was with a Group Team leader and a District team leader. Same question format. I handled myself in a professional manner during the entire process, giving clear and concise answers. I was cheerful when it was time to relax and i was stern when it was time to answer serious questions. I believe my overall presence was very powerful, which ultimately lead to me being offered. Im not a "natural" leader and have very little experience in the retail industry but Target knew this and felt that i was the type of person they were looking for. I have a strong integrity background, great recommendations based on my hard work and achievements, and I do everything with a natural smile on my face.

Interview
My experience with this is pretty good even though I didn't get the job. It really prepared me to interview for other jobs because the interview process is pretty in depth and you get asked so many questions; I answered 15 "Tell me a time when..." questions in the course of my three interviews. A lot of them run together so you can use the same story at different interviews. I looked at this site and just about all the questions that were asked are on here so I was really prepared.
