I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Takeda Pharmaceuticals (Exton, PA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Given Shire was recently acquired by Takeda, there is an exciting and as well as challenging PM role within HR for transition/transformation. I had applied in April 2020, then I was contacted after 4 months that the position opened up again now due to Covid. I heard back from the Recruiter last minute in the night closer to 9 PM that company wants to talk to to me in the afternoon. The Interviewers names seemed like they were contractors on the team. One of the interviewer was having 3-5 years of PM experience and other seemed no clue about the program. They started off saying that they wanted to know me first and this would not be discussing the responsibilities in this meeting. The types of questions posed would be appropriate for a small to medium projects. The normal objectives behind M&A seemed unrealistic for the interviewers specifically on people side of the impact. One of the question was that each project would be different type and how do I manage it. That's why it's called a transformation program. Although I have needed skills and experience around transformation, HR and more so M&A Integration experience to contribute to this initiative, I cannot get pass these gate keepers. One would assume that since this is a HR initiative, recruiting process is matured enough to hire the right talent. I was very disappointed about the process. I see that this position is open again which does not surprise me.

Question 1
How do manage stakeholders expectations?
How do I manage projects of different types?
I spoke with a recruiter- she was courteous, friendly and professional even though I had to postpone the call once due to covid. I would have liked to work for them if another opportunity arise.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Takeda Pharmaceuticals (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
I have never been more disappointed and disrespected in an interview process. I was offered the job initially however one week later had my offer withdrawn with little to no feedback other than after trying to negotiate my salary that my attitude had been bad. This was not an accurate representation of the conversation had between myself and the hiring manager. Then having known individuals inside the company I have heard that the hiring manager has passed on false information to me to a number of people involved in the process relating to why my offer was withdrawn. Having spent a significant amount of time going through the process I am extremely disappointed and disrespected by how I have been treated and when I reached out to discuss this further have been left blanked.
Recruiter did a great job explaining team I would be working with and the role in additional detail and was very transparent which I appreciated. They provided a through handout regarding benefits in the first screening of the interview.
