I had two interviews with Tableau. One with a Recruiter an another one with the Hiring Manager. I studied a lot for that and I never heard back from the Recruiters. I feel super disappointed.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tableau Software (Tokio) in Jan 2019
Interview
My interview process was very nice and smooth thanks to my recruiter. I was reached out by Tableau's recruiter via Linkedin and later we had a casual chat on the phone. Then I submit the resume and they reviewed, then I get to the first onsite interview. The first onsite interview was about the general question of my current job role, what's my responsibilities and how I overcome the difficulty etc.. I passed on, then scheduled second round of interview which ended up as the final round of interview. Second round was all about the "Product Demo". I did a 30 minute of product demo in front of my hiring manager and sales team. Then they will ask questions regarding Tableau's functionality and value.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
(In first round of interview) What was the most difficult situation you faced in the current project? How did you overcome it? How would you do differently next time you face the same situation?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Tableau Software (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2019
Interview
An employee referral got me a 10-minute phone screen which was followed with a 25-minute online coding interview with a Senior Engineer. There were supposed to be 2 in person whiteboarding interviews after this stage but I was rejected after the online coding interview.
