The process had 3 parts. The first was a kind of filter interview, quite short. The second was really similar with another HR person. The third was with a team leader. The HR/recruiters were quite friendly but lacked specific knowledge about the project they were interviewing for. They did not have much of an ability to answer basic questions. The final interview with the team leader was really the issue. The team lead was rude, unprofessional, and arrogant. I think perhaps HR should do more quality control in how team leads conduct their interviews. The real issue I saw was that this team leader was not the kind of person you would EVER want to work for. He presented a really awful image of what the company culture was like. That is an issue. Culture is very important and if someone shows you they are NOT in any way a good manager, why work for them? Interviews go two ways--they have to select you and you have to select them.
