Technical and functional round with average level of difficulty. Nicely conducted but had to wait for long time between the rounds. Technical was with a lady experienced in automotive industry

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TE Connectivity in Oct 2014
Interview
Submitted online application and was contacted by the hiring manager directly about 6 weeks later to set up a phone screen. The first question I was asked was illegal, and it set a strange tone for the rest of the call. When I followed up with the hiring manager about 2 weeks after the call I received a one line reply that they were going with another candidate. I was never contacted by anyone in HR so I have no way of following up to find out what happened.
