I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TD in May 2014
Interview
Applied online through main website and was contacted by telephone a few weeks later. I scheduled my first interview later that week. Once I passed the first round, the next interview was with the Regional Manager. Was offered the job on the spot.
As long as you present yourself in a professional manner and understand the fact that you are applying for the leading sales role in the store, you should be okay.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TD (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2013
Interview
Applied through web site - no response. Branch where my friend worked as CSR was going to hire. I went in and gave my resume to CSR manager. Then went in again and spoke with a branch manager giving him my resume who said that if they would not plan to hire he would send my resume to other branches (which never happened). Then my friend told me to email resume to CSR manager again, because they finally made a decision to hire (few months elapsed from initial contact). My friend sent me questions CSR manager could ask. So I was prepared, but overall interview process was not hard. Very intuitive questions and responses. What I would suggest is giving a smart question. I asked CSR manager question about Customer Experience Index TD has, and how was he going to improve branch's CIE. He spent 30 min answering it. So I was talking first 30 min, and he was talking last 30 min.

Question 1
nothing difficult or unexpected. IF they ask you how did you resolve and issue or case question and you had nothing like that happening to you, just answer HOW would you resolve it if it had happened.
On-line application only. Then they call for a group interview. After you do a Branch interview at the location you could be working. Both were fairly easy going. If you are hired, there is two weeks of training at TDU, which is easy. The do a background check, and your sent somewhere to get your thumb prints and a drug test.
