Shared a problem statement and was asked to prepare a presentation. Once that was done, a virtual interview was scheduled. One guy showed up but left the interview unprofessionally without proper closure. Next, they asked me to visit the office for a drive. The drive was like a fish market — maybe 300+ people were there. I reached at 10:20 AM and waited till 1 PM, then decided to leave without giving the interview.
Then HR suddenly arranged some dude in 2 minutes for an interview. The guy was over-animated and excited, repeatedly saying “I am a self-promoted manager, and I do hands-on coding” maybe five times in 20 minutes of the in-person interview. He asked how you write a Dockerfile, a few design questions, and kept arguing about dependency inversion vs. dependency injection, and how an interface achieves it. I realized that he probably came from some service company with 20 years of experience, and it was better for me to optimize the remaining part of my day and let him win the argument. Later they said I did not clear the second round and could leave.
I feel that as someone with 12+ years of experience, having mostly worked in product companies, I should be careful about which companies I appear for and never again go for such a drive. They are waste of time.
