After your resume has been selected for the next steps, Swiss Re requires you to self-interview yourself. They use a system called HireVue where you are supposed to record your video reading the questions and answering them. Swiss Re clearly believes that their time is a lot more important than the candidate's, and their Hiring Managers and Recruiters are too busy to spend any face to face time with potential candidates. They seem to have a complete lack of awareness that candidate's time is also important. It leads me to believe that they likely do not care about their employees and consider them as disposable assets. The self-interview step left a very bad taste in my mouth, and the Recruiter did not care when I told them that I am not comfortable with it.

Applied online. In two weeks I´ve got an invitation to record a video via HireVue. There were 6 simple questions. In less than a week I´ve got an invitation to a interview via Teams with two Team Leads. It took about 45 minutes.

Interview
I applied for this role online. About a week later, I received an email inviting me to a digital interview. Three days were given to submit this. The digital interview was a one way recording where a system asked some basic questions about why you would be a fit for the role and company. This was my first time submitting a video interview and I was uncomfortable doing so without ever having spoken to anyone at the company by phone or personal email. It has now been over a month and I never received any response beyond an automated email confirming my recording was received. I hope these impersonal screens are not the new normal of hiring. The process turned me off concerning this company.
