I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Swiss Re (Fort Wayne, IN) in Jan 2022
Interview
I was really excited to apply for this company but their hiring process was the worst I've ever encountered. I applied in January and went through multiple hiring steps. FYI: they require about 6 different steps to get hired for this job. It's pretty excessive. Each step had 2-4 weeks in between with zero communication. When I finally did get to speak to someone she was late and admitted that she had no idea an interview was even scheduled. I was led to believe that I would hear back quickly due to an internal timetable that was accelerating the process. It is now April and I finally received a rejection letter. I informed them during my interview that I was trying to buy a home and needed an answer quickly. I'm glad I didn't wait for their response before starting that process. Highly unprofessional hiring practices at this company. I expect better from a company with their mission and values.

Question 1
Why do you want to work at Swiss Re?
Tell us about your experience.
Passed online interview where I replied to some predefined classical HR questions like "what 's the biggest challenge you overcomed" and such. You have 3 tries to save your video response. The process is very alien and dehumanized.
3 weeks after still no feedback. Frankly, they could have showen more human friendly approch. I really hope this is NOT the future of the labour market.

HR sent a video recording interview link where you can records your answers to a set of questions. They won’t call you ahead of time to even speak to you for 10 minutes. I didn’t bother recording a video and ignored the link. HR ended up calling me a month later without scheduling a call. It almost seem like it’s fair to have the candidate waste 30 mins to an hour recording themselves just to save HR time? It doesn’t feel sincere at all.
