I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Norfolk, VA) in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied to various locations within my city and called at different times until I was able to speak with the manager. It's usually better to call in the morning before 2PM and avoid doing it during rush hour since it will not leave a good impression. Better to call after you have submitted application so that the manager can review it right away, or within a short time frame. You should get a call within a week or two depending on their hiring schedule. I scheduled an interview around October and I was a little bit late. By the time I got there, the manager was on a video conference but I was told that I could come back in a couple of hours or come another day. I decided to wait around for a couple of hours and after doing my interview for about 15 mins I was hired on the spot. However, I had to wait almost 4 weeks to start working because my manager scheduled 3 weeks in advance, and they were also busy getting ready for the holidays and hiring seasonal partners.
I applied online. I interviewed at Starbucks (Winnipeg, MB)
Interview
I was interviewed by the store manager. Although I do not have any experience, I expressed my desire to learn and work. She asked about my availability and since I was a student that time, I said I'm free during weekends.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks!
Very casual conversation, asked about my previous work experience as well as my past positions in the service industry. It was very friendly and resulted with me being offered the job.
